FLOORCLOTH GALLERY II
Above : A very interesting floorcloth comissioned to fit exactly into the floorspace of this home office.
I created a very precise paper template on site that I then transfered to the prepared canvas on my studio wall. When completed, the finished floorcloth fit exactly into the floorspace without any on site adjusments having to be made!

Above : This floorcloth has a bold and simple design, while the actual application of the colour in a very painterly and loose fashion provides a lot of depth and texture.
The first image of this piece, three above, shows the floorcloth in my studio, and next to it on the wall you can see the original paper sketch I made before I started the work.
