I usually paint on cotton muslin, which is then heat set. This painted fabric is durable, lightfast,washable, and can be kept outside; for example, on a covered porch.

I paint yardage freehand, in apparently repeating pattern; for upholstery or drapes.

Pillows are painted freehand as self-contained compositions, with complementing fronts and backs. Pillows can also be made up from fabric yardage that has over-all design.

I also paint on silk fabric in small quantities as wearable art. Additionaly I can paint on a variety of smooth surfaces, including lampshades and window shades.
